老朽从报章上的知行动党和丰区属的金美丽支部事变后，心里哀伤之情不禁油然而生。老朽追随行动党数十年，从未目睹如此极端的事件在党内发生。虽然霹雳州行动党打从八十年代初，党内的权力斗争就有如附骨之蛀，已经成为霹雳州行动党一个无法磨灭的噩梦，而且过去的每一次的党争的剧烈程度，都比这次有过之而无不及。I feel very sad after reading news regarding the DAP Kemiri incident. In my almost 30 years with the Party, I’ve never come across such brutal act against Party leaders although it’s a cruel fact that since the early 80s, DAP Perak’s power struggle between leaders had been continuing like a worst nightmare and every previous power struggle was nothing less compare to the present problem.
令老朽百思不得其解的问题在于之前的数次党争，各方诸侯都还能顾及党的尊严，虽然在党内斗个你死我活，却从未让问题浮出水面并如此高调的公诸于世，最后演变成为一个“亲者痛，仇者快”的政坛笑柄。发难者如此不顾一切的行径，到底是无视党的利益，还是已经被当权者逼得无路可走，老朽则无从查究了。无论如何，老朽还是对此感到非常无奈，且深感遗憾。
What I fail to understand is that previous power struggle in DAP Perak, leaders from different factions do have their concern over the Party’s image. Although they were using all ways and means trying to rundown the opponent faction, they never review any of such problems to the public or media. The Kemiri incident had become a political laughing stock of DAP. I can’t indentify the motive of those involved in the incident whether they have no concern over the Party’s image or they are really pushed to the corner by the Perak leadership. Anyway I do feel regrettably sorry for the occurrence of such incident.
老朽悲痛莫名之余不禁无语问苍天，霹雳州行动党几曾何时，竟然演变成犹如战国时代般全无秩序，各路诸侯四出聚众企图占地为王向霹雳州“朝廷”宣战。古语有云，但凡事出比有其因，老朽相信金美丽事变只是霹雳州党争浮出水面之冰山一角，皆因冰冻三尺绝非一日之寒也。
I’m crying from my heart why DAP Perak had transformed to today’s situation, totally having no discipline and order. “Warlords” from all directions are gathering members to go against the Perak “Kingdom”. As the elderly had said, all occurrences must have a cause. The Kemiri incident is only the tip of an iceberg because such dense rivalry must have been accumulated over a long period of time.
自古以来，世界上任何一个皇朝的没落以至另一个皇朝的兴起而代之，其原因是因为乱臣贼子谋朝篡位的固然有之，但更多的是当权者重用庸碌馋臣，对有能之士却视之如蛇蝎，复弃之如敝屣。如此一来“朝廷”必定朝纲扰乱引致民怨沸腾。在“官逼民反，民不得不反”的情形之下，誓必会有“明君”出现领导人民起义，最终取而代之。老朽期盼目前霹雳州党争不是源自上述两个因素，因为谋朝篡位者固然不可取，但是运用既有的权力结党营私排挤异己，用人至亲而非用人至贤者更是其心可鄙。
Since ancient time, the fall of a kingdom that eventually leads to the rise of another does have their reasons. It might be due to some intentional personnel who are eying to grab the throne by toppling the Ruler but more to it, Rulers who choose the listen to incapable subjects while side lining the capable one will be the main cause of a mutiny. A Ruler who choose not to listen to unpleasant facts but enjoying lies that are pleasant to their ears will eventually leads to the fury of the people. When the fury of the people is not attended to timely, there will be an uprising of another leader which will eventually topple the Ruler and take the throne. We do condemn those who try to take the throne for personal benefits but those who utilize their present power to create factionalism and enrolling subjects that are closest to them must also be cursed.
老朽在此倚老卖老的奉劝霹雳州行动党当权者，不要再一意孤行而最终把党陷于万劫不复之境。当权者应该敞开心胸接纳逆耳忠言，而非继续沉醉于阿诺奉承之辈的悦耳谗言。老朽也希望各路诸侯能以党为重，若然当权者不再执迷不悟，双方理应坐下来寻求一个两全其美的解决方案。若然双方的积怨能够化干戈为玉帛，则为霹雳州行动党福祉深厚矣。
I hereby call upon the leadership of DAP Perak not to stick to their wrongful practice which will eventually sent the Party to a route of no return. The leadership should start to listen to actual facts instead of enjoying pestering words from those who only knows how to please the boss. I also call upon all “Warlords” who have declared war against the DAP Perak leadership to have their concern over the Party’s interest. If the present leadership do show any alteration in their attitude for good, both parties should sit together and seek for a solution to solve the factionalism problem once and for all. If both parties can come to a common understanding, that will be a great blessing to the Party.
